Lisa Riente (Casey), 200 hour Experienced-RYT, has been studying yoga since 1997 and teaching since
2004. Upon moving to Camden, SC, in 2005, she recognized her dream of bringing a yoga studio to this charming southern community known for its horses, history and hospitality.
She is trained in beginner through advanced hatha-style yoga and in
senior, childrens, prenatal, Yin and core strength yoga. She has studied at
various studios throughout the US and Europe, and is a registered
teacher with Yoga Alliance. She is currently working on her 500 RYT
training with the Yoga Center of Asheville. Lisa's teaching style is an
eclectic blend derived from study in Ashtanga, Anusara, Vinyasa,
Jivamukti, Yin and Hatha yoga. She has studied with Manju Jois, David
Williams, David Life, Sharon Gannon, Master Paulie Zink, Amy Ippoliti, Beth Shaw and Stephanie Keach, among others.
Lisa completed the training to teach the Mindfulness in School's Project 's .b
curriculum to bring the practice of mindfulness to young people ages 11- 18. She is also near completion of an 8-week course in mindfulness for elementary aged children that can be taught in public schools, churches, or anywhere!
Her teaching style is compassionate and open-hearted. She encourages
without pushing, and brings out the best in her students using humor,
yogic philosophy, anatomy study, sensitivity and genuine passion. All of Lisa's yoga classes are hatha inspired, meaning that they incorporate postures and breath work. Class sizes are small to give each
student the attention they deserve and desire.
When Lisa is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her son, dogs, cats, fish and chickens. She loves to play tennis, ride horses, write and travel the world searching for new adventure!
